Tamarindo
is a very small and crowded break that is very accessible. The town of
Tamarindo (45 minutes north) is the biggest surfing town in Costa Rica,
but is not necessarily the nicest.

The
river mouth gets good on mid tides coming in. It has good rights but it
can get crowded.
